About this blog
This is where I document what I’m learning — not polished tutorials, but honest write-ups of what worked, what broke, and what I figured out along the way.
Right now I’m deep into WordPress plugin and theme development at a professional level, and picking up Laravel on the side. I’ve been building on WordPress since 2011, but there’s always something new to figure out — and writing about it helps me actually understand it.
My background
I’m based in the Philippines and currently working as a Lead Content Manager at a tech publisher, where I oversee a team handling CMS operations, web production, and content workflows for a major electronics company.
Before that, I worked in web production at HSBC and as a WordPress developer and product manager for a few digital agencies. Freelancing has been a constant thread running through all of it — I’ve been building WordPress sites for clients since 2011.
These days I’m focused on leveling up my dev skills: writing cleaner PHP, building proper WordPress plugins with real architecture, and learning Laravel so I can build more ambitious things.
What I work with
WordPress · PHP · Laravel · Sitecore CMS · Docker · MySQL · JavaScript · WP-CLI · GitHub Actions · Google Analytics 4 · On-page SEO
What I’m working on now
Building WordPress plugins from scratch using professional-grade patterns — PSR-4 autoloading, PHPUnit testing, GitHub Actions CI. Also working through a structured Laravel curriculum and exploring ways to turn side projects into real products.
If any of that sounds interesting, the blog is the place to follow along.
